The Barberton Beautification Committee would like to recognize all living “Rosie the Riveters” at the Mum Festival on Sunday, September 21, 2008. We will honor all women who lived in Barberton from 1941-1945 and worked in an Akron or Barberton factory, women who currently live in Barberton but may have worked in a factory elsewhere and any woman who worked in a Barberton factory during the war years.

It is our belief that without the support and efforts of these women our soldiers would not have had the equipment needed to win the war.
